Our History
Founded in 1959, AdvisorNet has over 55 years in the insurance business. We started as a Career General Agency with one insurance company, Central Life of Iowa, five insurance agents and one staff person. As our company and the financial services industry expanded and became increasingly independent, we added a few more insurance companies and began building out a Brokerage General Agency. In the 1990s we moved away from the Career Agency model and expanded into a full service Brokerage General Agency offering Life, Annuities, Disability and Long Term Care. In the 2000’s, we expanded our independent insurance company and product offerings by joining one of the largest insurance marketing organizations in the country. This has allowed AdvisorNet to provide top level service and support while maintaining our uniquely independent culture.
What We Do
Being totally independent and having a large portfolio of companies and products, we are able to seek out the best possible solution based on individual client circumstances. Our seasoned professionals will help identify needs, review and design a plan, as well as assist with paperwork and underwriting. We partner with financial professionals nationwide including Independent Registered Representatives, RIAs, P&C Agents, CPAs, Insurance Agents and directly with clients.
